Sale combines residential streets, busy A-road traffic and tram infrastructure, so the best preparation alternates between precision and anticipation.
Practise the A56 corridor, Sale Moor and the Brooklands/Sharston approaches without assuming one fixed route. Watch for lane changes near traffic lights, road markings that appear late and tram crossings where the safest action is often to slow and observe.
