Practise the Smith Street start, A56 approaches and the routes towards Whitefield and Rochdale. Buses, pedestrian crossings and parked vehicles make early scanning more useful than last-second steering.

- Approaching hills with a safe gear, speed and following distance.
- Holding a lane through traffic lights when a bus or cycle lane begins.
- Meeting oncoming traffic on narrower residential roads without stopping unnecessarily.
On the day
Bury’s road surface and traffic can feel different from a quiet estate. Use the final practice drive to rehearse observation under pressure, not just manoeuvres in an empty car park.
